On Wednesday, February 18, 2026, Ecotrading signed a Common Agreement Convention (CCCA) with the Common Initiative Groups (GIC) GICAN and GIC YAHKI, in the presence of the Minister of the Environment, traditional authorities, and other stakeholders. This agreement aims to develop research and development and the commercialization of genetic resources and associated traditional knowledge of Balanites aegyptiaca, a genetic resource available in the locality of Kaele in the Mayo-Kani department, Extreme-North region of Cameroon.
The signature of the agreement is made according to the APA law, which highlights the community benefits, aligning with the slogan "fair trade company" of Ecotrading.

This partnership is part of the dynamic of valuing genetic resources and their derivatives, drawing on traditional knowledge that serves as a hypothesis for research for a scientific result
