Sale in Esse
As part of the Corn Project ABF funded by GIZ, Ecotrading, a company specialized in trading, played a key intermediary role by facilitating market access for the corn producers of the municipality of Esse, in the department of Méfou-et-Afamba, Central Region of Cameroon. The objective of this project is to strengthen the capacities of corn producers and improve their access to the market. Ecotrading supports communities from production to marketing through training and awareness, enabling them to better manage their agricultural activities, even after the project’s completion. A supply of quality corn seeds was provided to the communities to improve their productivity. Thanks to this support, producers were able to sell 2350 kg of corn for this second sales campaign of the year 2025, generating income for themselves and a revenue for Ecotrading of 15 CFA francs per kilogram, representing the company's trading services. This operation allowed the company to strengthen its role as a facilitator in the agricultural sector and contribute to the development of rural communities.
